Krum is an electroacoustic work created with sound-bits recorded from double bass, tuba, flute, and several percussions.
The recorded sound-bits appear in the work, either as it is, or with layered effects.
The title “Krum” is an anagram of “murk”, which can be defined as “darkness”.
The usage of the term “murk” derives from the fact that in many electroacoustic concerts, the works are presented in darkness.
However, in my work, the sound organization and the structure has nothing to do with the darkness,
so I have resembled the letters of my title into something that has nothing to do with darkness.
2__8_6_8LALB_S is created as an Audio-visual work.
This piece focuses on periodicity and musicality in action of people in “the certain rules”.
This piece is made from a recorded video of the action of people in “the certain rules”.
As all the sounds arise from phenomena in the video, the sounds and the video are strongly related to each other.
Therefore, if either one of them were lacking, it would not work.
Also, the element produced from “the certain rules” causes strange synchronization (or gap) to each other.
nu2 is created for 4 channel fixed media.
This piece is made from about 20 sound materials that have various character.
The title of work is derived from "null" that means 'zero' or 'nothing' in the world of computer programming language.
A sound movement and field with a sense of unity is created by discretely arranged sound materials.
The sound material are not only sounds of instruments such as piano, guitar, djembe,
but also environmental sounds such as cars and birds.
And those sound materials were processed by max.
